What is Slime Rancher Multiplayer?

Slime Rancher Multiplayer is a mod for the Game Slime Rancher.

It adds local and remote coop realtime multiplayer to the game, making it possible to play with friends and family!

How long has the mod been in development?

Development started around March 2019 and got hold after a update that broke progress to that point. The mod is since 2020 in active development again, just with a little development problems during the Covid19 outbreak.

Can I play the mod on Epic Games/GoG/Steam?

The mod works on all pc versions of the game. Linux and Mac might need additional steps to install. Consoles are not able to get this mod. The mod will be fully cross platform.

Exception to this is the Microsoft Store. You can not mod the game on Microsoft Store.

Why does the mod cost money?

Developing a mod, especially multiplayer, is a extremely hard task. Development goes on now for years and the mod is still not finished. Developing mods is difficult, because modding a game requires a lot of workarounds. You can't just edit game mechanics and they work suddenly, no. You have to figure out how the game works, how you can bring your own code into there and test for hours if it breaks anything in the game.

Downloading and installing SRML

Singularity Slimes

This mod adds 2 new slimes to the game: Black Hole Slime and White Hole Slime. They’re obtained by shooting Boom Quantum Largo into the Chicken Cloner. While Black Hole Slime sucks everything
up, White Hole Slime blows everything away. This also work on players, unless you have Gravity Cuffs upgrade.

Tarr Rancher

This mod adds farmable version of Tarr that is created when feeding Tarr a Slimy Solution.
You get Slimy Solution by putting a pump on areas like the bit connecting the Moss Blanket and the Dry Reef. It will take a few tries, so try and put few Abysmal Pumps on the area connecting the Moss Blanket and the Dry Reef. Once you feed a Tarr a Slimy Soultution, it will become a Calmed Tarr, and you’ll be able to create a Tarr that doesn’t decay from hunger, can’t be killed by water, and doesn’t target ranchers (they still attack you if you get too close).

This mod adds a new slime type; the Shadow Slime. The Shadow Slime is formed by leaving a Phosphor Rad Largo out in the sunlight, or by leaving a Phosphor Rad Largo to bake in the sun. Shadow Slimes are a red-black vertical gradient, but watch out, because they hurt on touch, and they can grow up to 3x their size upon being agitated!
